After the Dotypay terminal is switched on for the first time, the device must be connected to the Internet. Once the device is connected to the internet, the activation dialog will be displayed automatically. You activate the device using the details you receive in your email inbox after purchasing it.

As a next step, you will then install the [POS applications](pokladni-aplikace.md) including the **Payment Terminal Driver**. Finally, you will set up the **Payment Terminal Driver** to the **Dotypay** provider, and your initial setup is complete.
