If the cash register does not charge after connecting to the power source, leave it turned off and charging for 3-5 hours. The battery will have then been charged and the cash register will start charging.

After first switching the Android system on, if it does not start (the Dotypos logo is displayed for a long time), hold down for about 15 seconds the button POWER to switch the cash register off. Now switch the cash register on again and it will start smoothly.

Connecting powered peripherals

If you bought Dotypos Mobile together with a bar code reader or printer, follow this sequence to connect it to the touch cash register (a more detailed connection sequence with pictures can be found in the chapter Bar code reader connection).

1.Turn the touch cash register on and display the list of installed applications. In the list, click on the item Settings. This will get you to the Android system settings.

2.Now select Security and on the page deactivate the option Vypnout OTG ACA.

3.Go back to Settings, now select Battery and deactivate the option Intelligent power saving standby.

4.Connect the Y cable to the cash register’s micro USB port. Connect the power supply adapter to the USB connector (male) on the longer side of the cable. Connect the bar code reader or USB printer to the other USB connector (female) on the shorter side of the cable. The special Y cable allows the cash register to be powered continuously.

5.If you have a USB printer connected, the cash register must be connected to the power supply all the time! When running on batteries, printing will not work.
