Pairing the waiter with the cash register

After installing the Mobile Waiter in the smart device, you must pair it with the touch cash register.


Pairing the waiter with the cash register


Open the application Mobile Waiter. After first run, the application searches the network and shows any touch cash registers with the Dotypos application that it detected. Tap to select your cash register. If the cash register is not on the list, it is probably not available in the network. In such case, check the network properties in your establishment. Or you can enter the cash register IP address directly using the button Register not found?.

Once you select the main cash register, Mobile Waiter waits for the authorization (pairing) that has to be done in the touch cash register.




Go to the touch cash register you are pairing the Mobile Waiter with (which was selected in the previous step) and open the Application settings. Swipe up on the left side of the tabs to see more tabs. In the Advanced section, then tap the Authorization tab.




Now you can see the list of devices waiting to be authorized. You authorize the device just by tapping on it, which will move it to the section Authorized. To cancel the authorization, tap the already authorized device again and select an option from the menu that appears. In this menu, you can also rename the authorized device and assign labels to it.




As soon as you successfully authorize Mobile Waiter in Dotypos, it will switch to the standard mode and display the main screen with products and categories, or the overview of users for logging in. If you use more Mobile waiters, complete the authorization process for each device with the application Mobile Waiter installed. So select the cash register for the connection first and then authorize the waiters for this cash register.




Now you can start using Mobile Waiter. How the waiter works is described in the next chapter.



License restrictions

After running Mobile Waiter, if you see the following notice, it means you do not have the license to use it (Dotypos FULL or UNLIMITED), or you have reached the limit of one waiter in Dotypos FULL. The Mobile Waiter could also lose authorization at the main cash register.

If you need to use more Mobile waiters, you have to upgrade to the Dotypos UNLIMITED license. Separate licenses for Mobile waiters are not available. After upgrading the license you can use the button REQUEST AUTHORIZATION to verify the license and unlock Mobile Waiter.
